Hi, I’m James Masters, a watercolor artist based in Kansas City. I didn’t always like working in watercolor. It can be unforgiving once it hits the page, there’s no easy way back. Over time, that’s exactly what drew me in. Now it’s my primary medium.

Kansas City Pridefest 2026
June 5th, 6th, and 7th
I’ll be exhibiting on Artist Row at KC PrideFest through No Divide KC. No Divide KC is a nonprofit arts organization that supports artists and creative community-building throughout the Kansas City area. As an Artist Member of No Divide KC, I’m excited to share my artwork, prints, stickers, magnets, and other creations during Pride weekend.
